"Room With A View"
By Joshua Cripps

Striving to find something different in the overwhelmingly photographed Yosemite Valley, I set out along the Upper Yosemite Falls trail. After about three miles hiking and 50 vertical feet of cliff-climbing, I came to a spot which provided a unique and beautiful view of the Falls, Half Dome, Mt. Starr King, and Yosemite Valley.

"Fabulous capture. Great balance and love the bit of light on half dome. So, considering what's lit, is this a sunrise shot? Did you actually take off in the dark for your 3 mile hike? Good on ya for this unique perspective and super capture. "

"Sandi, this is actually a sunset shot. Which meant I hiked all the way back down in the dark, all alone on the trail except for hundreds of giant millipedes that were out for some reason. Thanks for the nice words. Josh"
